Dr. Chandrajit Basu has recently demonstrated a concept of Adaptive Driving Beam (ADB) with a Laser Irradiated Phosphor Source (LIPS) and a DLP® device. “There was a buzz about DLP® based ADB with LEDs at the recently concluded ISAL 2015. As Texas Instruments is reportedly going to launch an automotive certified DLP® chip soon, I thought of trying the ADB concept with an existing DLP® kit and a LIPS source instead of LED”, said Dr. Basu. He has been working on laser scanning with 2D MEMS mirrors as well.
