The proposal for the Excellence Initiative of the German Research Foundation DFG “PhoenixD: Photonics, Optics, and Engineering Innovation - Across Disciplines” initiated by the Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies HOT, received a positive first-stage evaluation and the scientists involved were invited to submit a full proposal. The DFG has published the list of all excellence cluster proposals invited for full proposal submission. In total, the panel of experts has selected 88 projects for the final round of applications from an overall of 195 application drafts received in the first round.
