Inverse design of robust out-of-plane coupling elements

- Abstract
In this work a novel approach for out-of-plane couplers inspired Shen at al.1 is presented. The design was created and optimized using a self-written FDTD algorithm. The first components were manufactured using 2-photon polymerization and then tested for their functionality. .
