The whole team of the HOT - Hannover Centre for Optical Technologies congratulates Dr. Muhammad Shaukat Khan (left) for the successful defense of his doctoral thesis on the topic "Design and fabrication of polymer micro-optics for applications in automotive lighting and optical sensing", which was performed at HOT and the Institut für Produktentwicklung und Gerätebau iPeG within the Lower Saxony PhD program Tailored Light. The work is highly relevant for the research in the DFG - German Research Foundation funded Cluster of Excellence PhoenixD which develops the digital optics production of the future.
Khan has his say in the new PhoenixD Magazine. In the "Voices of our Alumni" section (pages 30-32), he reports on why he chose Leibniz University Hannover (LUH) for his doctoral studies and what tips he has for the next generation of young optical engineers.
