As part of the research project InTex (Intelligent textiles for leakage monitoring in pipe systems), a demonstrator sensor system was built in Meiningen, Germany. For this purpose, fiber optic tilting and humidity sensors were installed to a sewer segment. The aim is to detect leaks in the sewer pipe at an early stage.
